Wounded Warriors Family Support Launched its Global War on Terror Memorial Brick Campaign in 2007. The Global War on Terror Memorial (GWTM) Brick program will honor those whose lives were lost in terrorist acts against U.S. forces in the last three decades.
Those acts include Operation “Enduring Freedom”; Operation “Iraqi Freedom”; the Pentagon attack on September 11, 2001; the attack on the U.S.S. Cole on October 12, 2000; the bombing of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia on June 25, 1996; Operation “Restore Hope”, Somalia; Operation “Desert Storm” in January 1991; and terrorist acts against U.S. personnel in Beirut from 1982 to 1985.To memorialize the Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors and Marines who died in our fight against radical Islamic terror groups, we will place eight-inch square memorial bricks on the floor of the Hagel-Kerrey Lodge at the Wounded Warriors Family Support Retreat.
Each brick will be inscribed with the honoree’s name and unit insignia as a lasting tribute for service to our country.
For $1000, you may dedicate a brick for a Soldier, Marine, Airman or Sailor who was killed during combat operations. Each dedication will be noted on a brick map in the lodge and a Certificate of Dedication will be given to each donor.
Your generous contribution will commemorate the service of those who “gave the last full measure of devotion” for our country and will help with the construction of the Wounded Warriors Family Support Retreat.

The placement of the bricks will be the first memorial to honor all those who have lost their lives in the Middle East in our fight against Islamic terrorism and tyranny.
