The Wounded Warriors Family Support Retreat

E-mail Print PDF

lodge_smlThe Wounded Warriors Family Support Retreat will be built in the northwest Nebraska high country, on 80 acres of beautiful, ponderosa-studded land. The Wounded Warriors Family Support Retreat will give families a chance to heal from the pain of separation and the trauma of war.

We will provide them with a week’s stay in a serene, safe, family-friendly place. Here parents can rebuild relationships with their children and each other, find solace and peace, and help heal wounds that too often devastate our military families.

The Wounded Warriors Family Support Retreat will be family oriented. Activities are designed to bring families closer together by providing memories that will last a lifetime. Horseback riding and hiking in the rugged hills, swimming, campfires and more will be offered.

Plans include construction of the Hagel-Kerrey Lodge, The Dunham Chapel, six family cabins, swimming pool, stables and staff bunk houses. Wildlife is abundant, with elk, mule deer, turkeys, foxes, coyotes, porcupines and eagles. View the photos of our property.

The press release regarding the Wounded Warriors Family Support Retreat was recorded by the local news. See the video below.
